LIVE Transfer Talk: Man United are interested in signing Benjamin Pavard if Jeremie Frimpong’s transfer falls through.

According to Football Insider, Manchester United is interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard and Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga.

According to the report, the Red Devils are looking for a right-back. While Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen is the top target, Bayern Munich is also interested in the 22-year-old Frimpong. If Manchester United were beaten to acquiring Frimpong, the Premier League club might instead focus all its efforts on signing Pavard.

With Pavard’s position in the Bayern team likely jeopardized by Frimpong’s arrival, Man United may have a viable Plan B, with multiple outlets already suggesting that the 27-year-old might depart the Allianz Arena.

Man United boss Erik ten Hag is trying to reinforce in central midfield, and Veiga has had a breakout season for Celta Vigo, scoring nine goals and assisting four more in 26 La Liga games this season.

Nonetheless, a third source claims that midfielder Marcel Sabitzer wants to make his loan from Bayern Munich permanent, with Man United interested in completing a deal. Bayern Munich is anticipated to want a fee of between €25m and €30m for the 29-year-old, who has settled in nicely since joining United in the January transfer window.
