According to Calciomercato, Arsenal is prepared to offer forward Gabriel Martinelli a new long-term contract.

The 21-year-contract old’s at Emirates Stadium has two more years left, but since joining from Brazilian club Ituano in 2018, he has demonstrated enough promise to warrant a new one.

Since the new manager took over in 2019, Martinelli has emerged as one of Mikel Arteta’s most important players. The Brazil international is used both as a striker and as a left winger, and his dribbling prowess makes it difficult for many Premier League defenders to keep up with him in situations where he is alone.
