Tottenham Hotspur is interested in signing AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Tuttosport.
According to the report, Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has chosen the 23-year-old as his main target in the role of an offensive midfielder.
Zaniolo is now on the radar of Juventus, but Spurs director Fabio Paratici will meet with Roma representatives to discuss a potential €45 million trade.
The Italy international would want to stay in Serie A if he departs the Estadio Olimpico this summer, but with an agreement with the Bianconeri still to be made, as well as the opportunity for Jose Mourinho to avoid transferring one of his best players to a competitive opponent, Spurs are sure they can step in and hijack the deal.
Last season, Zaniolo made 28 league games for Roma and has two years left on his contract.
