Interestingly, Juventus and Barcelona are in talks over the Memphis Depay move.
According to ESPN, Juventus and Barcelona have conducted preliminary negotiations about a prospective transfer for Memphis Depay. Sky Sports Italia has now connected Juventus with the Dutchman, claiming that the Serie A club wants to take him on the loan while Barcelona wants to buy him permanently.
After his loan stays in Italy, Atletico de Madrid striker Alvaro Morata remains the Old Lady’s top focus. However, they have so far been unable to strike a deal with Atleti since they do not want to spend more than €15 to €20 million, according to Sky Sports.
This comes after Juventus passed down the chance to redeem the provision that would have allowed them to sign the Spaniard for €35 million after already spending €20 million on the loan. Even though Massimiliano Allegri still wants Morata, the current circumstance has Juventus hoping to bring in a striker with favorable financial terms.
Along with Depay, Juventus is interested in Chelsea’s Timo Werner and Manchester United’s Anthony Martial.
Depay made 37 appearances in all competitions in his debut season with Barcelona after joining from Olympique Lyonnais, with 10 of those coming off the bench, scoring 13 goals and giving two assists.
