According to Bild, Cristiano Ronaldo is attempting to convince Manchester United to let him join Borussia Dortmund.
The 37-year-old striker has instructed his agent Jorge Mendes to secure him a transfer to the Bundesliga club, who can offer him participation in the Champions League this season, as the remaining time of the transfer window ticks down.
Although Ronaldo called rumors of his departure “lies,” it appears that the Portugal star intends to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus star is reportedly considering Dortmund as one of his top choices to become the first person to ever win a domestic championship in each of Europe’s four top leagues.
Edin Terzic, the manager of Dortmund, is interested in adding another striker to his team and is debating whether to present a formal offer to Ronaldo’s representatives at Manchester United.
Sebastien Haller was recently diagnosed with a testicular tumor, which will prevent him from playing for several months, and the team recently signed Anthony Modeste from Cologne.
