Victor Osimhen has revealed that Napoli President, Aurelio de Laurentiis, will decide his future at the club this summer amid reports of interest from several top European clubs.
The Nigeria international, who is believed to be valued by his Italian outfit at more than £90m is thought to be on the radar of Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Real Madrid.
Despite these offers, Osimhen has debunked suggestions that he could leave Napoli insisting that he is “very happy” at the club and is not currently interested in seeking pastures new.
“I’m in Napoli,” he told Corriere Dello Sport.
“I met with the president, who makes the decisions, and he calmed me by describing the club’s goals.” I am satisfied with what he informed me, and the purchases are of high quality; words were followed by actions. I am delighted to be playing for Napoli, and we shall see what happens in the future.”
The Nigerian, who has scored 28 goals and given nine assists in 62 outings for Napoli since joining French giants Lille in September 2020, has named Luciano Spalletti his favorite coach.
During the 2021/22 season, the 23-year-old was in excellent form with Napoli, scoring 18 goals and collecting six assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.
