LIVE Transfer Talk: Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace will be up for grabs by Chelsea and Arsenal

Crystal Palace to check on Wilfried Zaha before Brentford match | BT Sport

Chelsea and Arsenal are once again keeping an eye on Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha as the transfer deadline of September 1 approaches this week.

With three goals in three games so far this season, Zaha, 29, has been in excellent form. With only one year remaining on his contract, the Ivory Coast international may be available for much less than the £80 million Palace demanded his services in 2019 when he was on the verge of joining the Gunners.

According to The Daily Express, Pedro Neto of Wolves or Yeremi Pino of Villarreal are also on Arsenal’s shortlist as potential replacements for Nicolas Pepe, who was loaned out to Nice.

However, according to The Guardian, Chelsea is first in line as they look to strengthen their attack following the potential departures of Hakim Ziyech (to Ajax) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (to Bayer Leverkusen on loan).

The Blues’ top priority continues to be Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, so a deal for Zaha may come down to the wire.
