LIVE Transfer Talk: Wesley Fofana of Leicester wants to move to Chelsea.

Wesley Fofana could return for this run of Leicester City games

According to the Mirror, Leicester City center-back Wesley Fofana wants to join Chelsea. Despite missing much of last season due to a broken leg, the player has been a discovery at the King Power Stadium, and he’s now emerged as Chelsea’s latest backline target during a busy summer.

Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have already left Chelsea for Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively, and Cesar Azpilicueta’s future is still up in the air. This indicates that Thiago Silva’s replacement, along with recent addition Kalidou Koulibaly, will still be sought after by Blues manager Thomas Tuchel.

One of the top young defenders in the Premier League, Fofana, 21, has made a name for himself. Despite the player telling the Foxes hierarchy that he wants to move to West London, Leicesterise is adamant that he is not available at any price. Oddly, Fofana has deactivated his Twitter and Instagram accounts for Leicester City.

There are numerous Premier League rivals interested in both Youri Tielemans and James Maddison in addition to Fofana, a player from Leicester. This summer, Chelsea made several acquisitions under the ownership of new owner Todd Boehly. Along with Koulibaly, the Blues also acquired midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa, forward Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, and goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire FC. According to sources who spoke to ESPN, Chelsea is also interested in signing Brighton defender Marc Cucurella.
