According to Foot Mercato, Paris Saint-Germain wants to compete with Barcelona for the services of Bernardo Silva, a midfielder for Manchester City.
Although Silva, 27, has been closely watched by the Blaugrana this summer, the LaLiga club is now in a position where they must offload players before they can make an offer to City because they have prioritized other moves.
Silva is reportedly open to returning to France if a deal with PSG is reached, despite previously calling it a dream to play at Camp Nou. Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions are seeking a transfer fee of around €85 million for the Portugal international.
PSG is confident that it will be able to sign the former AS Monaco player if Barcelona continues to balk at meeting City’s demands because the Ligue 1 team is optimistic that its sporting director Luis Campos will be able to close a deal.
