In his search for a new team before the 2022 World Cup, former Atletico Madrid player Luis Suarez has been associated with Borussia Dortmund.

The 35-year-old Uruguayan star’s potential transfer to Dortmund is being considered by club executives, according to Sky Sports Deutschland.

The news follows this week’s diagnosis of Sebastien Haller, a recent addition, with a testicular tumor that will keep him out of action indefinitely.

Haller left Ajax for Dortmund earlier this summer for a fee of €36 million after scoring 34 goals and dishing out nine assists in 42 games in all competitions for Ajax the previous season.

Suarez, a former playmaker for Barcelona and Liverpool, has recently claimed he received offers from numerous South American teams.
